Here's a rundown of the last weekish:
Had Korean Language Midterms, which weren't too bad. Only sucked cos they were early in the morning, but that's ok :) Finished those up on wed. and thurs. Now it's midterm break for this week, so there's no Korean language classes (except on thursday which is odd) but that's lovely cos I can sleep in! YES
Ummm, so of course, to celebrate we had to go out and have fun over the weekend. More of the same, really. Went to Hongdae for girl's night, eating samgyeopsal (Korean BBQ), then noraebang which is always wonderful! ummm then, meeting up with some more people for drinks, etc. Then doing the same, drinking and meeting new people on Saturday.
Ahh, and Sunday, I met up with a guy my roommate sort of introduced me to...
Here's the deal:
I was watching TV on my laptop, right? Now, when my roomie wants to talk to me, she's really shy and doesn't like, tap me or say 'oh excuse me', soooo I notice all of a sudden she's just staring at me so I'm all flustered and stop my show to see what's up.
Basically she was saying she had a friend who wants to practice his english, and gave me his contact info and stuff. I think she had talked with him online through her japanese texting service thing. Sooo anyway, I texted him the next day, and he seemed really nice and polite and stuff, and soon we arranged a time to meet up. Which was on Sunday.
I made him meet me by the University Gate, and he was just a really nice, sort of shy, rather cute guy. We took the subway to Yeoido, which is famous for the cherry blossoms. It was really crowded, and right by the Han River, and a really nice spot. Didn't get to take too many pictures, but it's basically the same as the ones I took in Sinchon.
I was still super tired from Saturday, so I went to bed reallyreallyreally early on Sunday when I got back. Thennn slept in Monday (yesterday) on account of no morning classes, went to my one 2pm class, and some friends and I went to dinner then the Han River to see the light fountain. It took us a long time to get there cos we got off at a subway stop a long way away, and met some Malaysian students looking for the same place. Sooo we walked along this really nice walk/bike path along the river, and the weather was beautiful, and we just had a really nice chat and walk to the fountain. Which we did eventually find. It was really pretty, and I made video and pictures that don't really capture it, of course :)
Aaaand now it's Tuesday, and I'm just chilling, and taking it easy, and I'm planning on many more adventures during this Midterm break ^_^
Ok bye, next post will be pictures and stuff!
