RUNNING AND SOJU AND DANCING ON WHITE DAY

Hey beautiful people, here's how my White Day/Pi day/Thursday went:
First off, I went out to lunch with the PEACE Buddies, as I think I posted before. Then I did some homework until dinnah time...when we got PIZZA from Mr. Pizza AKA "love for women" annnnd honestly it wasn't as good as the first time we had it. We got anotha bulgolgi pizza and a potato/bacon pizza that was pretty good, and we brought it back to the dorm kitchen and done devoured it! The next few hours were a struggle of a scheduling conflict for me, cos a few of my friends in the group were gonna go out and find a cocktail/soju place at 7:30, but I also had to meet Jasmine and Joanna back at Ewha at 8:30 to go sign up for a dance class off-campus...

So I decided to go meet up for soju, and we wandered around Ewha but all the good places were hidden or closed, so we walked quite a bit farther to look for a bar place in a more city-like area. It took us like, 2.5 places until we found a Warawara restaurant that had good looking fruit blended soju, so we went up to the 4th floor but when we got out it was scary cos the doors closed as we were going out and Nahomi got out but her purse got stuck in the door and we were all like WOAHAH and stuck our arms in the door to make it open again but APPARENTLY the doors are stupid and we were all "AHH!" and stuck for a minute and it was scary guys, but then they opened and we thought it was hilarious.
So we got seated and ordered a pineapple juice soju, "warm and light" on the soju, and also a strawberry-lemon fruit soju that was "cold and strong" and also a yummy appetizer thingy with fried lookin' kimbap or ham roll things, and fries?
Sidenote: They gave us a menu all in english cos we were obvi foreigners.... :/
Sidenote 2: as expected, there were tons of White Day couples there...and also groups of people just drinkin and having a good time, which looked nice and fun :)
Sidenote 3: They also had those little call buttons on the wall so you could call the waiter to order whenever you were ready or wanted something else. Very handy, if a little intimidating to use at first :P

ANYWAY so by the time we had found this place, time was getting on, and by the time the first drink arrived, I only had time for 2 shots of the yummy pineapple soju before I had to dash off to meet J&J back at Ewha...! I literally dashed too. I'm so glad I had a decent sense of direction and knew where the campus was in relation to the restaurant, cos we wandered PRETTY DANG FAR well not super far, but everything seems farther away when you're in a hurry... but I was like alternating between walking fast and running and continually dodging cutesy couples and groups of youths until I FINALLY made it back to Ewha and met up at the entrance >_< PHEW! Very intense, lemme tell ya! It was my workout for the day ;) So we went to the dance studio and signed up for Dance classes, which will apparently be K-pop (Korean pop choreography) style dances, and it sounds super fun, and also a great workout :P  At least that's what Jasmine said about it haha :) It wasn't too expensive either, and we paid for 3 months worth of classes. One problem is that the classes are taught in Korean...but 1. it's a dance class, so lots is just body language and following others, 2. Jasmine can translate :P, 3. She said there's another girl who doesn't speak Korean there, so we won't be alone in that at least.
I'm pretty psyched :) I like learning how to dance more, even if I'm not that good haha :P It's just fun getting to move my body and get to know it better, if that makes sense...

Sooo then Jasmine went to dance, cos she was already signed up, and I brought Joanna back with me to Warawara, which I luckily also succeeded in finding again. We got more soju (This one was Berry Flavored, since, as I had suspected, the other girls had consumed the drinks and fried delicousness while I was gone...At least they left me a fry :P ) We also ordered more fried yummies, this time little yummy fries and chicken with garlic sauce.

Overall, it was just a really great time involving texting mistakes, mistaking a window for a mirror, and failing to order dumplings and water, because we thought it was mandu (a different dumpling they didn't have...) and cos the waiter didn't hear us order water every time we tried....
GOOD TIMES!
We'll go back again sometime :)
And good news! I get to sleep in tomorrow cos it turns out we're NOT going to get our alien registration done, but putting it off til next week so we can get all our forms in order. But we're gonna go to Myeongdong, and we also have orientation for the volunteer work with the kids, annnnd...yeah! Probably more fun and adventures shall occur, if all goes well :)

Dat's all fo' now, my little birds :)

Edit: Oh dude, I forgot to say that I'm pretty dang sure people were staring at me when I was running back to campus. I mean come on...A white, bleach-blonde girl running in the middle of Seoul? Heck yeah. I...maybe heard someone laughing too? Maybe? Hahha I don't even know, I wouldn't be suprised, I thought it was funny too :P but srs, there ARE actually lots of random people who just run through the streets for whatever reason (I even passed another dude running somewhere...I felt a strange kinship with his soul at that time) so maaaaybe it wasn't that big a deal :P
PEACE OUT
